Does he have his claws in her for good? Or is she just yanking his tail?
Elena Demos’s life has been turned upside down. Her mother has passed away, leaving Elena and her two half-sisters to deal with their mother’s will and the crazy stipulations it contains. For the three sisters to inherit the substantial amount of money left behind, they have to go to work with two aunts they’ve never met, in the family business they’ve known nothing about, Amazons Inc. If that isn’t bad enough, she runs into the man who once broke her heart, and it’s only their first day on the job.
Gage Ivanov is a stupid beast. He let the woman who should be his mate go because she couldn’t be told of his Other identity. Now, Elena’s back, but she refuses to give in to his demands for her to be his mate. The timing for all of this couldn’t be worse, either, because Gage and his circle of friends are trying to subdue a rogue pack of wolf shifters in Germany who threaten to out the Others to the world of humans. Will he be able to juggle the oncoming conflict and win back his mate?
Claws have never been this sexy.

Elena Demo is a simple woman who is in the Military. While on duty she meets Gage Ivanov who is the cocky leader of a special forces unit. Even though Gage tries to get her to step back, she stands her ground. Neither of them intended to have more than a fling, but it became much more. The problem was that Gage had a secret that he couldn’t let Elena know about. A secret that could undermine his entire future and hers.

When Elena’s mother dies, Elena leaves the military for a short while to take care of the details, along with her two sisters. The three of them couldn’t be more different, which Elena believes is not a bad thing at all. In her mother’s will however, she learns that she has two aunts who own a business, one that all three sisters have to work at before they can inherit their mother’s money. Doesn’t seem that difficult, but the specifics of Amazon Inc, are more than Elena originally signed up for.

Not long after she joined the business, Elena is again face to face with Gage, but the tables have turned in a way. This time it is Elena seeking out Gage’s sister for crimes against the paranormal community. Now that Elena knows who Gage is, can she see herself with him again? or will the hurt from the past resurface and cause more heartache.

I liked this story, it sets up a world within a world. It has the honor of a soldier but also the loyalty that comes with being part of a family unit. This story has some steam and a good story line. You connect with the characters, especially Elena has she deals with the heartache that Gage created. I mean I wanted to throw him in the trash for what he did. It is understandable, but still trash. I mean be a man/shifter/adult and tell the truth versus hiding and lying.

I think that this story touches on some basic human traits that are not necessarily the best. Gage was so afraid of telling the truth and having Elena react, he deceived her. Yes, there is an added layer when you talk about human/shifter relationships, but the truth seems to be the best bet always. He seriously deserves what he receives and I am not an ounce sorry for him. He made the bed and then he is upset when she forces him to lay in it.
