Ryan needs money, so when she saw an advertisement for a babysitting job she took it without thinking. The money was good and the job seemed pretty easy. The rules were even simple, until the young charge clued her in on what was really going on, sort of. That is when Ryan has to decide rather she is going to go with the strange family tradition or if she is going to fight.
This is a short story, so while there wasn’t a lot of meat to it, there is enough to not only feel the terror that Ryan experiences, but also to get a glimpse of the family. I enjoyed this story for what it was, a short story about a young woman who took a job for some extra spending money. This author does a good job of creating a story that brings the reader into the story, through the feelings. Definitely take a chance, not only for the story but also the author.
