All’s fair in reincarnation and war

You’ve heard the stories of Norse gods. Thor. Odin. Ragnarok. I’m here to tell you they’re all true. I know because I was there.

My name is Loki.

A thousand years ago, give or take a century or two, I walked the Nine Realms with my brothers, spreading mischief and leaving behind a trail of broken hearts wherever I roamed. I built an unforgettable brand as the trickster god, the father of the Midgard Serpent, Fenrir the wolf, and even Hel herself. In my exploits, I may have accidentally on purpose triggered a bit of unpleasantness that led to the end of the world, but apparently, it wasn’t the end of me. Recently, the shield of ice that froze me in an arctic cage melted (thanks, global warming), and I clawed my way to the surface of a new world.

With a fresh lease on life and a rocking-hot body, I just need one thing: the rune that grants me immortality.

Oh, and a bra would be nice. These boobs really know how to get in the way of a good hustle.

What a great story! Runed was everything I hoped it would be. Funny, exciting and one of a kind.

It’s not every day that you read a book about Loki, the trickster god, being trapped in a woman’s body. I’ll admit, I was a little bit leery at first. My feelings quickly changed as the story developed into something that could only come from the mind of Kendall Grey.

I like that she kept things, to a reasonable degree, along the truth of the mythologies. Obviously, there was creativity at play here, but that’s what one comes to expect from fiction writers. The mythologies are still recognizable and familiar despite being different.

Loki’s relationship with Huginn had me DYING I was laughing so hard. I haven’t read anything this funny in a long time and I am extremely excited to read the next book when it comes out.

About Kendall Grey

Kendall Grey is the self-appointed past, present, and future president of the Authors Behaving Badly Club. A whale warrior and indie freedom fighter, she spends summers in the corner (usually with a dunce cap on her head) and winters hunched at the peak of Mt. Trouble, fiery pens of fury (complete with invisible ink) flying across the pages. She has a big set of cajones, and she’s not afraid to use them. In her spare time, Kendall speaks your mind so you don’t have to.

Kendall lives off a dirt road near Atlanta, Georgia, but don’t hold that against her.
