My Review:
So this is a novella, so it is really short, like 25,000 words short. It is part of a larger story that will be four novellas placed in one book. I like the idea, and I think that it works for this depending on what the next three are.
I think that this could be a longer stand alone, but again I have not read the next three so I do not know if they are separate stories or if they are a continuation of this novella.
I felt connected to the main character and can empathize with her struggles, I feel that some of the other characters were thrown in, but it did not detract from the overall story. While most of these types of books are in my genre, I honestly don’t know if I would seek this story out. You know when you read something and your like this is good, but not GOOD. That is how I feel about this, it is good, it is a solid story, and it has a lot of potential, I just don’t connect with it.
