I’m so excited about being a featured author at the Coastal Magic Convention in Daytona Beach! The funny thing is, even though we live in Florida, I’d never even heard of this event. How I found out about it is kind of amazing.

Right before the RT Booklovers Convention last year in New Orleans, I stumbled across the FB page for author Tere Michaels, and realized that she’s actually one of my best friends from high school. I won’t say how long ago high school was for us, but suffice to say, it’s been a long time since I talked to her.

We chatted back and forth, and I found out she’d be going to RT, too. We got together while in New Orleans, nibbled on a few beignets at Café Du Monde, and talked about high school, band (yes, we were both band nerds), and of course chatted about writing and the paths our chosen careers have taken us.

I had so much fun catching up with Tere, but as always, I also learned a lot from her about the industry (no matter how long I do this, I’m still learning more every time I talk to someone!). One thing that caught my attention during our conversation was the Coastal Magic event in Daytona. I was shocked when she told me there was a great conference right in our own backyard that focused on paranormal and urban fantasy. I never knew!

She said it was an excellent place to meet readers who really love paranormal books, and since paranormal is right up my alley, I knew I had to go.

I’ll be bringing book from my two new series from Sourcebooks with me. HER PERFECT MATE (X-OPS 1) and HER LONE WOLF (X-OPS 2) and HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF (Special Wolf Alpha Team –SWAT 1). I really think you readers are going to love them! Here’s a little bit about both series:

X-OPS Series
