The Onyx Webb series follows the unusual life of Onyx Webb along with a central group of characters in various locations and times. The billionaire Mulvaney family, piano prodigy Juniper Cole and her brother Quinn, paranormal show hosts Cryer and Fudge, and a few others make up the core of the series. Written like a book version of a supernatural soap opera, each character’s story moves forward with most every episode. It may appear that the characters are entirely unrelated and yet episode by episode, the connections will become clearer. Like being an inch away from a spider web, with each book, the web will move further and further away revealing the full story of every character and most importantly, the stunning conclusion for Onyx Webb herself.
In Book Three... It’s in the late 30's and Onyx and Ulrich have started a new life in Crimson Cove, Oregon. It’s 2010, and Koda Mulvaney is picking up the pieces of the latest tragedy and still looking for the girl in the mirror. Paranormal show hosts Cryer and Fudge have a run in with a ghost at the Open Arms. It’s the 60's and Declan Mulvaney is building the family fortune - a good intent with horrible consequences.

3 Bands That Have Inspired Our Writing
By Andrea Waltz
My Chemical Romance. The funny thing is we became huge fans about the time they broke up. Our music tastes while ‘cutting edge’ to some, are not exactly the most up to date. In fact MCR just celebrated the 10 year anniversary of their dark and amazing album, The Black Parade. We listened to this over and over while writing and developing the series and Book One. In particular our favorite songs from that record are The Black Parade, I Don’t Love You, and Famous Last Words. Andrea also loves the song, Dead!
30 Seconds to Mars. Also an alternative rock band headed up by actor and lead singer (and ridiculously hot!) Jared Leto. We became major fans after watching their documentary ‘Artifact’ about their years-long painful battle with their record label. It is a must watch for any artist and reminded us a bit of the book publishing world. Our favorite songs by far by 30 Seconds to Mars (and the ones we listened to while writing the most) are Do or Die, Closer to the Edge, and Up in the Air. Like My Chemical Romance they also have some really fun and creepy videos. We went to North Carolina just to see them perform live and it was worth every penny. Not only are the songs great but Jared Leto as a performer is incredible and inspiring.
CAKE. It’s not just for birthdays anymore. Yet another alternative style rock band, we have loved Cake since the mid 90’s at their height of popularity with the song, The Distance. It’s not that we listen to them all of the time but they are staple in our music collection. When we want to hear something fun and familiar we defer to Cake. The have a really catchy (little creepy) song called Sheep Go to Heaven that got airplay for about a minute in 2001. So they are not as well known as they should be. Cake is a band with a lot of great songs and if you go to a concert (we’ve been to three in different parts of the country) the fans know every single line in every song. When you are a CAKE fan, you are a CAKE fan. And we are.
Koda found himself in Dane’s room, sleeping in Dane’s bed for a second night, drifting from one disjointed dream to the next, as most dreams tend to be.
Then he felt the thump on the bed and woke up.
Koda sat up and looked at the foot of the bed and saw what looked like a dog, just sitting there looking at him expectantly, as if waiting for something. Koda reached out to pet the dog’s head—but his hand went right through it.
Koda pulled his hand back quickly, his heart pounding.
For a brief moment, Koda considered the possibility he was still dreaming, but he knew that was only wishful thinking.
No, he was awake.
And there was a ghost dog on his bed.
The dog tilted his head to the side, released a barely audible bark, and then jumped off the bed and ran toward the bedroom door—and directly through it.
Koda pulled the covers back and walked to the door and hesitated. What was he doing? There was no reason to pursue the ghostly creature, but Koda couldn’t help himself.
