Cadence Miller is a good girl. She just happens to make one terrible mistake her junior year in high school which costs her ten months in juvenile detention. Now a senior, she's lost everything: her best friend, the trust of her parents, driving privileges, Internet access. It's a lonely existence.

But there is one bright spot: Mark Connelly, her very cute, very off-limits 28-year-old calculus teacher. She falls hard for him--a ridiculous schoolgirl crush headed nowhere. She can't help it. He's the only good thing at Crestview High. She doesn't expect him to reciprocate her feelings. How inappropriate, right? But he does. And he shows her.

And that's when her life goes from bad to good.

Book 1 in the Too Good series. This series will be a two-parter. The second and final book is called "Better".

This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

My Review

Student & Teacher Romance…I enjoy reading about “forbidden” love…Mark & Cadence are a great story.

This affair moves at a NICE pace and does NOT lose my attention once…I spent many nights up late wondering what would happen next – I found myself wanting to read faster because I wanted to know where it was going.  I liked how S. Walden, the author, allowed there to be that touch of keeping us on the edge and wondering if Mark and Cadence could really make it work and she keeps us on the edge up through the last scene.

I personally was raised in the “church” and so I could REALLY relate to a lot of the problems and issues that Cadence was dealing with when it came to her Mother and Father not being understanding in any way about how she felt about Mark.  The only thing they could see is how it looked through their VERY stained glass windows and narrow mindedness.

I do not want to spoil the story – if you like “new loves” that are a bit Risqué, you will like this book

4 stars

About S. Walden

S. Walden used to teach English before making the best decision of her life by becoming a full-time writer. She lives in Georgia with her very supportive husband who prefers physics textbooks over fiction and has a difficult time understanding why her characters must have personality flaws. She is wary of small children, so she has a Westie instead. Her dreams include raising chickens and owning and operating a beachside inn on the Gulf Coast (chickens included). When she's not writing, she's thinking about it.

She loves her fans and loves to hear from them.
