Welcome back to Fang Freakin Tastic Reviews, where Melanie and I strive to make every day a pleasurable reading experience.
We are Fang Freakin Tastic Reviews are proud to be a part of Feature and Follow Fridays.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!
This Week’s Question:
Have you ever been to BEA? If not, what’s stopping you? If you have, what was your best experience there?
Umm. So before I started with Fang Freakin Tastic I did not know what a BEA was, what? I was new to this side of the writing/publishing world. For those who don’t know what it is and haven’t googled it yet, it is a Book Expo of America. Here is a good link to what it really is all about. Book Expo of America.
Obviously I have not been to one yet, I have been to some conventions, well honestly they were not conventions but more a large group of authors who got together to sell their books and sign the ones they sold. I was a participant in one of them which was really cool, but it was as an author not a blogger. The other one is one that I attend every year and I actually met a friend, Kendare Blake from Anna Dressed in Blood there. Yeah she did Tarot cards for me, be jealous. She is the awesomesauce if you haven’t met her.
Other than that there really isn’t THAT much going on near where I live, we have authors that come in and I know that my local book store is doing a Halloween thing with yup, you guessed it, Kendare. Portland, Oregon have some big events, but I have not attended any of them yet, I was hoping to go to Coastal Magic this last February but family got in the way, in fact I was really sick and so was the minion.
Have you ever been to a BEA or any large event? Got any near Oregon that I would be interested in?
And as always here is next weeks:
Next week’s question: Have you ever had a reoccurring dream? What was it?
